A Letter From The TGH President:
After nearly eight months of planning and preperations, TGH is finally open for raising money!
As a child, I would go around my neighborhood selling chocolates, raising money for various causes. Does anyone remember those Unicef boxes on Halloween? TGH.org is basically a rendition of those childhood trips around the neighborhood on the internet. But obviously, on a much larger scale.
I have been an avid gamer since as long as I can remember, so I figured my “home turf” was the best place to start in making a difference. And in the process, correct any falsehoods about Gamer’s being rampant madmen or ticking time bombs. We gamers, as a whole, get a lot of negative press, so I think its time to prove the world wrong.
I want to show the world, with your help, that we gamers are good people. No. Great people.
In the initial phases of TGH, I planned to form a charity. But then, I quickly realized there are already hundreds, thousands, of charities out there all working for different causes.
So instead, I propose we help these other causes. TGH will work to raise money through different auctions, and selling of various goods from posters to shirts. Essentially, a giant online fundraiser organization. We will be completely non-profit. Even hosting charges come out of my personal wallet.
At this point I must insist that you please check out our Get Involved page to help make the world a better place. We are currently in need of some great artists, and really anyone whos up for auctioning some awesome gamer goods to raise money!
C’mon gamers! If you can help each other take the enemie’s base, you can most definetly do this! Check out the About page for more information.
Sincerely,
Amit Sahnan
